Squatter of the waves
The sun pierces skin
And the red mold infests
Grit squirms between toes
Skim them clean from the dock
Scream from the nibbling fish
Watch them gulp spit
As it slowly plops from lips
Gnawing on pruned thumbs
Proving we are not so young
