Late at night,

When the world is still.

When the day is spent and stars begin to rise,

I can catch a glimpse of a single blue strand,

Floating across the world's nightly sky.

The Angel's eyes' glitter

Just as brightly as the stars.

Glittering and shimmering,

Mixing with my hopeful gaze.

The blackness of her skirt,

And the darkness of her blouse,

Mingle with the emptiness of the night.

Oh to see it with wishing eyes.

But her hair remains my bane.

Short and caringly kept.

Blue as deep as the ocean,

Finds refuge in my lonely soul.

The strand of hope and sadness,

Floats off into the blossoming night.

Leaving me alone and wishing.

Wishing for the Blue-Hair Angel.
