Combat

Heya! Well, this oneshot is based on a dream I had, quite possibly the best dream I've ever had! So I had to make it a oneshot.

Drake didn't feel fear, not in this place, not in his sea of blue flames.

Eye focused on the darkened sky he watched the shifting red clouds move along their set path as the dancing blue flames continued to burn brightly around the throne in the center of his world.

"Well…" Drake said as he lowered his to the head of the stairs to his throne, there stood a figure dressed in all black, hood shadowing it's face, in fact. It looked like a Nazgul from lord of the rings.

Probably is… Drake thought, making a brief note to try and remember why he thought of a Nazgul in the first place.

He snapped out of his thoughts when the Nazgul was in front of him suddenly holding a curved blade and ready to swing. Drake lazily glanced up towards the shadowed face before the sword fell and cut him through the chest, blood spraying out.

But that was it, Drake showed no expression of pain or fear even as his blood seeped down his dark blue suit and crimson tie. "A fight you want? Heh…alright…" With that Drake appeared at the head of the stairs, landing softly on the ground and turning to face the Nazgul. "lets fight,"

Holding out his hand he pictured a certain sword and with a swirl of blue fire the blade of Sephiroth, the Masamune was in his grip, the seven foot long blade was lifted easily, to any normal human, it would likely weigh a lot, but in his realm, Drake wielded it easily as if it were made of paper.

The Nazgul turned to face Drake before it's figure blurred out and appeared behind Drake, who barely had time to turn around before it's sword point extruded from his chest, causing more red blood to spurt from the wound. "You're fast…" Drake noted, staring at the point of the sword lazily.

"But I am faster…" Drake was behind the Nazgul now with the Masamune raised over his head, bringing it down quickly to sever the thing from head down.

"What?!" Drake growled when his sword met nothing but air, turning be raised the Masamune to block the incoming sword thrust. "That trick only works once…." he growl, he was actually struggling to fight this thing, in his realm!

The Nazgul's arm shook as it tried to push the blade through the Masamune, then almost randomly it reached out and gripped Drake's throat with it's armoured glove and squeezed, trying to rob Drake of air.

"I don't need to breath here…" Drake stated with a smirk. Drake didn't need much in this realm, in fact, he only needed his mind for everything.

Raising his arm and taking hold of the Nazgul's arm he deflected it's sword and dropped the Masamune before pointing his finger to the things chest. "Hado four…" Drake smirked. "Byakurai…"

The Nazgul shot back with a bolt of blue lightning shooting from Drake's finger tip in a beam of energy and landing inside the sea of blue flames with a shattering explosion. "Hmph…well, that was fun." Drake smirked and moved to return to his throne.

The Nazgul was in front of him again, not wounded.

"Resilient…aren't you?" Drake mumbled with a displeased frown. "Fine then…I'm going to end this…" he jumped back to narrowly avoid a swing of the Nazgul's sword, raising his hand to the sky and then with another swirl of blue flames there was a blue hilted katana in his hand.

Bringing the blade down to stare at it he focused on the Nazgul. "Scatter…Senbonzakura kageyoshi…" the blade scattered in a flurry of pink petals, a contrast the dark sky and blue flames as they swirled in the air around Drake, who still held the handle in his hand. "Hmm…"

The pink petals moved forward with deadly speed, the Nazgul didn't seem to understand the threat it was against as it held it's ground. Then the blades struck it and it showed in the various clinches and spasms the Nazgul made as it tried to block the tiny blades, which was futile.

"It's pointless to try and block he furious attacks of the Senbonzakura…it's blades are far too nimble." Drake explained, inwardly grinning as he thought how Byakuya might said the same thing.

The Nazgul didn't seem to hear and kept trying to swat the petals away anyways. It was comical really.

"Fine…since you're so busy…" Drake held out his free hand and summoned another weapon. Another brilliant display of blue flame swirling later he held the PYTHON, a rail cannon, in his hand and took at the Nazgul. "Time to die…assuming you're not already dead…"

The PYTHON charged with blue energy before firing and streaking towards the Nazgul, then with a larger explosion, there was nothing but a crater. But Drake didn't care for the crater, only the fact he had blown his throne to hell. "Shit…I shoulda been more careful there." he mumbled.

Then it happened, nine blades impaled him from all side, at each hilt was a Nazgul, all nine staring at him. "Damn…" Drake spat some blood, then copper taste in his mouth. "My mind would summon the whole group." he groaned.

Drake couldn't die here, but he could tell his muscles would be tense wherever he was stabbed because of the tingle of pain he felt. "Very well…" he muttered, sighing. "I have to set an example…" in an instant he was gone and floating in the air above the Nazgul. "Seeing as I'm likely never going to be able to rant like this to anyone, I may as well say it…"

"Let me show you nine why this is my realm. Where what I say goes…" Drake grinned and threw both his arms to the side, then pointed both open palms towards the nine Nazgul. Then the sea of blue flames suddenly closed in on them, drowning them in heat and fire.

As the Nazgul writhed in obvious pain Drake appeared behind one of them, the flames not having the same affect on him as they did on the Nazgul. "In this place, I. Am. God." he growled, summoning a black bladed katana to his hand and piercing one of the Nazgul through the chest. "Adios…" he intoned.

The black blade glowed white then the Nazgul exploded in a flash of black feathers. Drake turned his attention on the others, who were still suffering and giving off shrill screams in their banshee like voices.

Black blade fell and sliced a Nazgul clean in half, then it dispersed into feathers again, this happened until finally all the Nazgul were gone and Drake was left alone in his sea of azure flames. With a flick of his wrist the sea cleared a path for him and his throne was recreated as he ascended the stairs to take a seat and wait for him to wake up, then again, he could always force himself awake, but that was boring.

And so, he had defeated several enemies and suffered grievous wounds only to scoff at them.

"Damn I'm good…"

End!
