Strawberry frosting in your hair
No kiss this evening to dim
the dusk, echoing fire across the sky;

we're spooning
via film noir.

I'm giggling, while
your toes scratch at
my legs, blankets
unwrapped from the bed
now that it's warmer
outside,

a hint of summer
howling through the
exposed screens,
whipping my
hair into my face.
