Under a Half Moon
You were there
when you were not there
You knew it but what was it
It was me that was hurt
and me that wasn't
Refrain:
You were there
when you weren't there
Knew but you didn't
A contradiction
without malediction
(Refrain)
I did not intend to block you from me
Like the yellow moon's rays through blinds
But it's hard to say when you are me.
Well I heard that opposites attract
but when you have so many sides
it don't mean a thing
Something is missing on this half-moon.
Maybe it's our minds.
So I sing
You are a contradiction and everything inbetween.
(Refrain)
What do you mean when you talk and don't reveal anything.
But the yellow moon rays that gleam.
Your eyes are tortured and I see
But what really tortures me is this:
What is it?
What does it mean?
And when that leaves me to think: do I really know you if I don't know a kiss?
Well I know you know me.
I guess it was meant to be.
I guess it was meant to be.
I guess it was meant to be.
Because whatever this means
On this half-moon I now see
You mean everything.
