Reminiscing

Every time we gather

Every reunion

We never fail to recount those same

School time tales;

gossip, experiences or someone else's story

from back in the day

There is comfort in these

well worn words

Sometimes we remember things differently

Sometimes we protest, I've already heard that story!

But we always settle in with those

well worn words

Like a favoured battered armchair

Long retired

But still beckons

With nostalgia

We need and cherish

These little moments.
