-Shadow in the River-

Taking my sunset stroll,
Walking idly, deep in thought,
I saw her again,
Like I did every single day.
That dark figure walking by the riverside.
My eyes glued to that lonely back,
Silently asking her why she's so alone.
As darkness draws near and the Sun drifts into sleep,
I'm tempted to approach her to ask,
"Why are you always here by yourself?"
Ah…
And with a start I realize,
No…I remember that she, whom I see every day,
Is really me.
My reflection.
My shadow in the river.
