A/N - Yeah I don't think I've ever actually written an author's not before...weird. Anyway this song strangely enough came out of watching the Vampire Diaries and before you press the back button it has nothing to do with vampires just the two main characters relationship and the fact that unlike some other popular vampire series *cough cough Twilight* Elena (the main girl in the show) isn't stupid enough to just blindly accept everything about Damon (the main guy) without so much as a second thought she actually takes time to think about the dangers of their relationship and understand the risks.

Anyway I'm rambling so my point was this song is about wanting to be with someone and being in love with them but still having the strength to say goodbye if they screw up because you know that some things can't be forgiven.
