I was trying to sleep when this came to me. It makes absolutely no sense.
i
Look upon
The old
And glorious
Grandfather clock
ii
Ticking and more
Casting time ashore
Faithfuly never giving
Life a moments rest
iii
Here comes
The animal
Bound to
The Grandfather's laws
Feet and life
Marching to his tune
iv
The line between
Freedom and Not
Blurred beyond repair
vi
Way long ago
The throne
Belonged to limbo
With no time in place
vii
Time
Now ascended
As heir
To the throne
viii
Alas..
Time was
Still bound
To the cold
and brown
Grandfather
ix
Together man and time
March on for future's sake
Never faltering
Only to keep up
To the tune
Of the Grandfather Clock
x
Then man
Tripped
In his march
and heard
A broke tune
xi
Man turned to fix
Old grandafather's
Broken tune
xii
Grandfather follows
The tune
Set by humans
While humans
Follow the tune
Set by time
xiii
Listening now
The tune of life
Never stopping
For all life marches to it's tune
