He is my beautiful thorn,
Beautiful but painful if I'm not careful,
My heart is torn.

He is my darkest sunset,
I walk blindly with him but he is still my light,
Your love is my biggest threat.

He is my relief,
When the world is hard and unforgiving,
But I lay there in disbelief.

He is a shard of glass,
Shining and pointed, my sharpest fall,
But can I let go of the past?

He is my fear,
My night in shining armor,
Turned against me in the final hour,
You're my beautiful nightmare.
