In a time/land
Fate never planned
built on sand

Wind-torn
a dream was born
of a trusting unicorn

And a maid
well-paid
for love betrayed

Smiling fair
her silken hair
did ensnare

Thrusting horn
of trusting unicorn
his love forsworn

In a shy embrace
on ferny lace
she turned her face

Gentle maid
heart undismayed
by butcher's blade

Now in that time/land

new dreams command
