Not all weddings are happy. This is somewhat auto-biographical. Be kind enough to R&R?

The Wedding
When the light burst into your eyes
The new morning you already despise
As you roll over your eyes take aim
On the black picture frame
You shut your eyes in disgrace
As gaze once again on her face
Your arm is draped around her as flashes a happy smile
As you pause to rest by the lake for awhile
As the best of friends you were bound
But that all changed when a dark eyed man came to town
You stared in fright
When he was around her eyes sparkled with new light
One day she told you, "the most wonderful thing"
The man had given her a shiny new ring
Sitting in the pew
You desperately want her to be with you
You try to find the right words to say
But you wonder: who are you ruin her Wedding Day
Her smile looked so bright
As she floats to the alter grabbed in white
You tell yourself it is no longer your part
To hold her heart
You tell yourself now must wait
For someday she'll see you are her soul-mate
