Sometime during the night

Morning came without warning

And the comfortable darkness

Gave way to unshakeable light

And there I stood

With nowhere to run

And nowhere to hide

Left face to face

With my face in the mirror

Not knowing what to say

I said "hi"

No response from myself

But no response was expected

So there I stood from dawn until dusk

Having a wordless revelation

Until the darkness came back

To leave me by myself.
