Meet meaning half way
The seasonal growl grunts
beyond the window pane;
a song of northern-

west – the wail
heaving it's burden
underneath the horizon
where I write by lamplight,

and I tell these stories
in the dimming doom, scattering
words, scuttle the tip of the pen,
meet meaning half way
to literal lyric

go linear
like the storm
stuffing itself into the air,

the world still a box to wrap ourselves in.
