Author: Black Cap Just another poem written by just another probably-not-emo writer. "Heartbeats stronger/than the roar of the crowd..." An odd poem that might be about sports; although I honestly haven't a clue. Part of the Musings of a Bored Writer series.

Musings of a Bored Writer: Champion
Champion
heartbeats stronger
than the roar of the crowd
I raise my hands to heaven
and scream
so that
the gods know my exhilaration
and hear
my pride
Author's Note: ...I'm rather "meh" on this one. I've done better, but I think I did decently with the emotion expression here.
Poetry Rule technically applies although I'm unlikely to submit this one to anything.
I've recently launched my first full-length original fiction: Charming, a familiar fairytale with a few twists. For some reason the reader traffic recorder stopped working on me (Anyone else getting this problem?), so I have no real way to gauge the audience I'm reaching.
Thanks for reading this, everyone. Reviews are like chocolate in that I can't get enough; beatings with the Anti-Emo mallet are like medicine in that I sometimes need them.
