Sometimes tomorrow is too late,

To read what someone wrote today.

Don't make promises to people,

That you have no intention of keeping.

Because maybe you're their saving grace,

And by simple neglect cause them to fall.

It may not be your choice,

To be the one someone clings to.

But maybe it's not their choice, either.

Sometimes everyone is a victim of circumstance.

I never let people in lightly,

Because I know that someday everyone will hurt me.

People make me promises,

They don't intend to keep.

Say they want me to be happy,

Ask me what's on my mind.

So I compose my thoughts, write them,

And give them over to be read, understood.

I'll ask about them sometimes,

What they thought,

Of what I wrote today.

But more often than not,

It is said there was no time today,

But tomorrow, I'll try to read what you have said.

And then tomorrow never comes,

And it's too late for me,

Because I've already fallen.
