A descriptive 'poem' about the colour lilac. Not as boring as it sounds. I think. Review please?

In calmed serenity, it beckons,
Softly shimmering, waving demurely
Behind others; seen yet not heard
there yet not here.
The flat horizon shimmers softly
As reflected seams of light
Leaped and danced on the flat stage.
Like the colour of a haven;
It lulls the harsh thuds of the heart.
Like a blanket surrounding
A babe; comfortingly embraced
By this soft friend; this soft hue of purple.
What did you think? My descriptions up to merit? Review, please. :)
