Ode to Knowledge

We cannot pick so we will not grow,
We will not sow the seeds.
We refuse to bear the fruit
Our ripened progeny.
The genesis- the history,
The rotten apple offered perniciously.
Oh silly snake that coils and tempts,
And leaves behind a race exempt
Of God.
