On an alabaster and ivory canvas
She painted a saccharine mouth
That hovered beneath
Darkened eyes.
These eyes beheld the intangible night
And all the sins it carried.
These consequences
Were much too weighty for
Her delicate orbs,
So her confidence plunged
With her heavy gaze
When her dignity and apparel
Stole away with the night.
