Cailbidil a Dó: ach an Tosú¹
Abigail ran up to her room, crying.
"So you really got a girlfriend?"
"No, mom."
"Why not?"
"I don't know."
"Well honey, you know what you can and can't do in your room, if you do get a girlfriend."
"I've already heard this before."
"I know, but.."
"What?"
"It's just.."
"Well mom, I can see this isn't getting anywhere, so I'm going to go up and do some homework."
"Okay."
I went up the stairs and looked in my sister's bedroom. She was talking on the phone.
All I got was "Sure, you can come over." and "Whatever you want." It didn't sound good to me, but then again, Nothing was good when it involved your sister. I went into my bedroom, not even planning to do homework. My phone started ringing. It was Hayden.
"Hey man."
"You still mad at me?" he asked.
"Um... No? Was I mad at you?"
"You got mad when I told you I was gay, but Alex I really love...." I cut him off.
"Hayden, why would I be mad at you for being gay. I mean, its the way you are. Plus, my sister is gay." Oops. I let it out.
"Wow. That's surprising."
"So. Who are you dating, again?" I asked.
"George." He just let it come out, as if I has if he had told me before. Then again, he said I was mad, so I probably forgot about it. I heard Hayden's mom call him.
"Sorry, man. Have to go."
"Bye," I said. I hung up and called Allen, asking about Caoilfhionn.
"Hey how are all of y'all doing?"
"Good I guess. Caoilfhionn is getting ready for a party. Her family is moving here so she could stay. Apparently, she had called her parents and said that she loved this place and everything here. They are coming today and apparently just got here."
"Tá siad ann anois. An bhfuil tú ag dul, Allen?²" I heard. It sounded like Caoilfhionn.
"I thought you said she was getting better at her English."
"Maybe a little." It was Caoilfhionn.
Crap!
"Thanks, Allen, for having it on speaker phone. I am getting better. Its just I have this accent and I like Irish. You should learn it sometime." She said some of her A's with an accent. I still thought it was beautiful.
"Would you like to come?" I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Hello?"
"Cao.." She hung up. I called Allen back.
"Hello. Caoilfhionn?"
"No, Alex. Sorry, man, she left. You can go ever there if you want." He gave me the address. It was only fifteen minutes away. I got ready and left. I remembered what Allen had said. How Allen said Caoilfhionn loved everything here. Maybe she did like me. I could see my sister through her window. It was her and another girl. Abigail pushed the girl on the bed and jumped on. That was all I could see. That's more than I wanted to see.
(Caoilfhionn's POV)
I walked into the driveway of my new house. I was wearing a emerald green dress with black stockings and moccasins. The driveway was empty. Maybe they had gone somewhere else. Then, I noticed the garage.
"Silly, me," I muttered.
I walked up to the house and knocked. My mother opened the door. I walked inside. The house seemed quit spacious.
"Mil, Tá mé chomh sásta a fheiceann tú, arís³," she said.
"Mise freisin, Máthair. Ach liom Béarla a labhairt anois.⁴"
"I féach⁵." It was a little whisper. "Breasal⁶ here."
"You brought boyfriend. Oh, Máthair⁷." I looked in the back and felt my tan and muscular boyfriend. His hair glimmered off the light and his rifle green eyes were the things that drug me in. He was wearing moccasins like me, some skinny jeans (he is bi). And a rifle green shirt, just a tint lower than his eyes.
"Breasal!" I screamed. He held his arms out for a hug. I went in for it. He pulled me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. We kissed tenderly. It became much more than that in just a couple of seconds.
"Caoilfhionn!" I turned. Mother came over.
"Breasal will show you to your room. After that, he is to leave and y'all are never to be in each others rooms. Understand?" We both nodded our heads. We went up the stairs. I realized that he understood my mother
"You learn English?"
"For you," he whispered. I was shocked. He pulled me closer.
"No. If Máthair finds out then.."
"We must be quite then." He pulled me closer, again. Again, I pulled away. I looked up into those rifle green eyes. This time I only got total blackness. The doorbell rang.
"I'll get it!" I screamed at my mháthair⁸. I turned away and felt the squeeze.
(Abigail's POV)
"Let's do it!" I shouted at the girl that was on my bed. Her name was Michelle. She had brown hair and hazel eyes. She looked gorgeous in the tight dress she was wearing. She laughed a little.
"You really thought I would do that!" She laughed again. "I just came to see how big of a skank you were." She left laughing her head off. I started to cry. I thought I had finally found someone special.
"How can anyone fake that!" I whispered. I lied down in bed and went to sleep.
(Alex's POV)
I kept standing at the door. I had the the right house, right? I checked the address. They watched. Finally, a middle-aged women opened the door.
"Oh, teacht isteach, teacht isteach.⁹"
"Ma'am."
"Oh, sorry. You speak English. Do you want Caoilfhionn?"
"Yes, please."
"Caoilfhionn!" I stood there looking in the doorway. "Come in, come in." I walked inside.
"Cuidigh liom!¹⁰ Help me!" It sounded like Caoilfhionn. We both rushed in. Caoilfhionn was trying to be kissed by some guy. I went over and tried to pull me away. He turned around, still keeping his grip, and shoved me into a wall. His face was red hot because of his anger. Finally, Caoilfhionn got away and kicked him in the groin. He fell to the ground.
"Drag him to cellar!" Caoilfhionn's mom commanded. We carried him down to the cellar. It was a bit eerie. It was kind of like a prison cell. He started to moan. We locked the door and left. I heard Caoilfhionn something. She screamed it this time in Irish, but it was almost English.
" Are slut beag.¹¹" I went back to the door, planning to leave. Someone screamed behind me. Caoilfhionn was running up.
"Thank you," she whispered.
"Anytime. I'm sorry that.." She had reached for and had kissed me.
"See you at school."
"What about...."
"We'll be shipping him back. My mom was smart and got one round trip ticket for him."
"Do you have a dad?"
"Since Breasal came, he's coming next year. So is my brother."
"Sorry to keep you, I'll get going." She kissed me one more time. It was just a peck, but it seemed like more to me.
I got home and Abigail was at the kitchen counter crying. Mom had left for her weekend job at Books-A-MIllion. I ran up to my room, not wanting to listen to my sister's drama. I couldn't stop thinking about that kiss. I turned on the radio and Kiss was on. It was Calling Dr. Love.
They call me
(Dr. Love)
They call me Dr. Love
(Calling Dr. Love)
I am your doctor of love
(Dr. Love)
I've got the cure your thinkin' of
It made me remember Caoilfhionn and our kiss.
I fell asleep some how. Even my dreams were about Caoilfhionn.
A/N: I think this chapter was a little bit more confusing. Well, I also thought it was better than the first because you saw Alex and Caoilfhionn's relationship sprout.*
