Tales From The Silver River

Ages past when fires burnt low

Acrid smoke and death below

Science placed in the inner part

Leaves ran down right from the start

Seeping poison in the scars

Sentient living in the shards

The flume of evil spread its wings

Loss took hold as the dead man sings

In lines of mud and thatch and dust

Pouring over ground, the wrench

Gouging out rocks from the system

The mines in the river bank they knew had died

Seeds were planted in the hearts of fools

Dead bracken swam past in the cobwebbed pools

Shoulders hunched in essence of fury

Lies written down and stored for the jury

And now we break out to conquer

We break out to set fire

To this town's flag

It flounders now

Amongst the provincial houses

Settles down amongst the ash

And they will stamp on it

Stepping towards the new throne
