Topaz eyes, like the winter's mist;
Fleeting smiles, like a starlight's twinkle;
Cheeks that have, by the frost, been kissed;
Crystal voice with melodic jingle.
Changing moods, like the flurried wind -
Sometimes stormy and sometimes merry;
Rosy lips, sweet as peppermint,
But with tartness of winter berry.
Velvet skin, soft as melting snow;
Spiky lashes that dance when woken;
Silky hair with alluring flow
And the shade of a steaming cocoa.
You resemble your time of birth...
Pearly beauty and ice and, maybe,
Christmas joy and the loving warmth,
Since you are a December baby!
