When You're Gone

When you're gone, don't forget me
When you're away, remember the times we've had
There will never be another you
And if there was, I couldn't stand the wait

When you're done, think of me
When you're away, call me often
I'm sorry for my abandonment anxiety
But I'm just waiting for you to run

When you're gone, pray for my sanity
When you're away, pray for a safe return
If I lost you, I'd lose so much
Every single bit of you I need

When you're gone, I hope to meet you in heaven
When you're away, I hope things can change
I hope God rests heavy on your heart
So He can make you who you were meant to be

A/n--I'm good at manufacturing emotion. I'm pretty sure you have to be to write anything. However, this poem (song) is entirely real. It was me saying goodbye almost two years ago.
