The Crossroads of Decision
I stand at the crossroads of decision,
Either life or death I can choose.
I know I must move with precision.
My soul I can keep or can lose.
To the left there are valleys of sunshine.
The highway is broad and well-trod.
On it pleasures, riches and fame shall be mine.
It tempts and allures, this life without God.
And yet, I've been told, and I know that it's true,
The pleasures are but for a season,
And riches and fame I know I shalt rue,
If I walk on this pathway of treason.
I am not my own, I am bought with a price.
God's salvation and love have I known.
The world with it's pleasures DOES entice
But as God's child, I should walk alone.
I turn to the right and behold a small track.
Narrow and stony, as it twists and it turns.
Yet if I walk on THIS path I know I shan't lack,
In the wisdom the world in it's foolishness spurns.
My heart is fixed, I shall walk on this path.
God shall supply all my needs.
Who cares if the world will in ridicule laugh
When my Saviour so faithfully leads.
