I love you baby, I do. It's just that I know it won't last forever and my eyes are blinkered. Forward, forward, that's all I can see.

Chocolate eyes, little nose,

You're just a little kid

And reality, even forced in by my palm–

It sort of broke your smile.

So I'll sit right here

With your heart in my hands

Until the clock ticks timetogo

And I'll sing you songs

With your head in my lap

And pretend the clock is slow.

You wanted it, baby, oblivion,

We mustn't talk of broken things.

Our fingers twine so perfectly,

Forever's an easy wish.

I wished that we were forever, baby,

I inked it down as truth.

But ink is easier to lie with, baby,

And only clandestine wishes come true.
