Today the forecast is clear.
A perfect 85 degrees,
just a couple clouds in sight.
"It's a wonderful day to spend outside," they say.
"I'm glad it's finally stopped raining," they say.
You and me, yesterday we made plans,
when it was raining,
to go to the park, or maybe to see a movie, or possibly the
fair, anything, just to be together.
The roads were really wet that day
And nobody could hardly see anything two feet in front of them,
that's how bad the rain was.
Then there was a crash, a bang, a squeal, a cry-
You can't come today.
You're like the rain that fell in front of me
Cold and dark,
and beautiful in a mysterious sort of way.
I love you more than anything
But raindrops don't fall on sunny days.
