Chapter 4

Elizabeth and Lillian were sitting and talking while the intermission was going on.

"What happened? I thought I said no to ruining the play" Lillian was angry.

"It wasn't me…I swear!" Elizabeth said

The dance teacher came out to their row and got Lillian and Elizabeth to go backstage. She was angry when she said it so on their way over Lillian said nice things to Mrs. A

"I love the costumes you made" Lillian smiled.

When they got backstage Mrs. A said in a angry voice "Tell me the truth! Did you ruin the play?"

"It wasn't us!" Elizabeth Sounded calm

"Well until we find out who did there is no acting club" Mrs. A had a mean look on her face.

Mrs. A went out to the audience and apologized for the mistake and gave them all refunds. Then Elizabeth and Lillian walked home. They reached Lillian's house and Elizabeth got a strange smile on her face. She leaned over and wisped in my ear.

"We should frame Felicity and say that she purposely messed up and she will get kicked off acting team!" Elizabeth's eyes sparkled in the summer sun.

"Do you think so?" Lillian's eyes grew bigger.

They got to Lillian's house and ran to her room. Elizabeth went over to the big off white dry erase board and started to write on it. They had a plan, but all they have to do is stick to it.

The next day, Elizabeth and Lillian were walking to the mall. They stopped in build-a-bear and made a bear that has a spy camera in it. Then they went up to Felicity's house and dropped it off in a gift bag. They left and went to Elizabeth's house. They hooked up a cable to a TV and watched Felicity admire herself in a mirror. They giggled and laughed as she did a runway walk.

Later that night, Lillian and Elizabeth were eating popcorn and watching Felicity talk in her sleep.

"She is so funny" Elizabeth said in the middle of eating popcorn.

"I know" Lillian couldn't stop laughing.

Then that morning, Lillian was going to meet Elizabeth at star bucks. She was deciding between her sweats or jeans when she heard something from the TV. Felicity was combing her hair, but talking to herself. She said something that Lillian was shocked about.

"They think they can get away with that….I knows they didn't do it but they almost did." Felicity smiled wile combing her long blonde hair with red highlights. "I always win" she laughed and her mom yelled her name.

Lillian ran to star bucks and ran to Elizabeth's table. Elizabeth was sipping her vanilla bean and eating her scone when Lillian ran over to her table.

"Felicity is framing us!" Lillian was out of breath.

"What?" Elizabeth was annoyed

Then, Lillian pulled out her bright orange laptop and put on the video she took of Felicity talking. Elizabeth's jaw dropped and she threw away her drink.

"Let's go show Mrs. A the video!" Elizabeth ran out the door.

They ran to the door of the dance academy and knocked on the door. Mrs. Kala answered.

"Hey Lillian remember your class was canceled" she took a deep breath.

"I know, is Mrs. A here?" Lillian smiled

"She just left" Mrs. Kala pointed to the car that was pulling out of the parking space. "but you can still catch her because I can page her"

"Sure" Lillian said

Mrs. Kala pressed a button as we watched the yellow Saab come back in. Mrs. K went to the driveway to talk to Mrs. A and to tell her why she was paged. When she stepped outside there was a beeping noise and something came out of the printer. It was a signup sheet for the next play.

"Oh my god! We are doing Annie for the next play" Elizabeth jumped up in the air

"Remember why we are here, ok?" Lillian was a little excited for the next play, but she didn't want to know about it.

Mrs. K and Mrs. A walked in. They both sat down and told Elizabeth and Lillian to meet them in the dance room. Elizabeth and Lillian exchanged looks and walked in to the room. They walked in to the room and Lillian took a box that said "give to Lillian D. in 6:00pm ballet"

"I'm getting my Pointe shoes!" Lillian screamed.

"And that's better than doing the play An-"Elizabeth got cut off by Mrs. K and Mrs. A yelling

"It was Clara! I never trusted her. She came in class each week with a new excuse on why she has to stop dancing"

"She is the sweetest girl ever! I think it was Katie"

"Let's go see what the girls think"

A few minutes later they came in the door angry at each other.

"Who do you think did it and what is your evidence?" Mrs. A sounded like a detective.

"Well we think its Felicity and the evidence is on Lillian's computer" Elizabeth's voice sounded nervous.

Lillian played back the sound recording of Felicity talking to herself.

"Interesting, but the other day in Tap class Clara made a recording of people saying "Hi" for her new computer voice word changer" Mrs. A said

"but we have a video of her saying it herself.

Lillian pulled out her laptop and showed the video.

"It's so mean of you two to frame Felicity! She is the nicest person I know!" Mrs. A was angry.

"No Pointe shoes for you until you are responsible for your actions Lillian!" Mrs. Kala took away Lillian's shoe box that she was holding.

Lillian's face was pale. She hasn't even tried on her Pointe shoes and she got them taken away! Elizabeth gave Lillian a "I'm sorry" look and they said bye and walked away.
