Sometimes we don't want what we think we do, and sometimes people misunderstand on purpose. We believe in things that shine simply because they do shine. "Don't trust stars, for they refuse to see beyond their own light."

She wished upon a shooting star,
not realizing it was foolish to wish on the fallen.
She wished upon that shooting star,
and all her dreams are calling.
But still no dream worth dreaming still
to her was ever granted.
She blames that shooting star wish still,
and wishes all resulting growth were never planted.
So take heed young girls with dream filled hearts
and wishes not yet supplanted.
A shooting star gives grudgingly,
the dearest hopes are not granted.
Make your wishes be granted by you, for you are the only one trustworthy to grant them correctly.
