I am a word whore and

I rape the best parts of you

For my quoting pleasure.

I peel away (like useful skin)

The appropriate colloquialisms and jargon—

Though as long as my choice words

Are not juxtaposed so they can conspire to make me look bad—

That I can umbrella myself within your pages,

Acting like an intellectual

When really, all I'm doing is

Misquoting all the words you are;

And as you hover over me like an umbrella,

You are also protecting me from using nonsensical, zany, preposterous, farcical adjectives.
