Singing is my passion. So wouldn’t you be pissed off if some guy you didn’t even know, who just happens to be the new transfer student and the new playboy at your school, disses you and your wonderful voice right in front of your face? Yeah, I would too.

Chapter 1: Only the Beginning
AN: Hey everyone! Musicalover13 here with my first ever fiction story. Some of the events reflect my life a little, but no, I have never met a type of guy like Matt before. That is solely fiction. Thank goodness! I really hope you enjoy this first chapter and the chapters to come!
Breathe in, breathe out. Relax. There is nothing to be nervous about Crystal. Your just singing at your dad's friend's restaurant for a surprise birthday party for one of your dad's other friends. No. Big. Deal. Get a hold of yourself woman! You've got this … you can do it!
Checking "mentally prepare" off my list, I was ready to perform. Ok so let me explain myself before assumptions are made. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always dreamed of becoming a famous singer. I believe that I have a pretty decent, ok, scratch that, a great singing voice and I want to show the word how amazing it is. No, I am not self-absorbed nor do I think I'm the best singer out there, but I do have confidence in myself, which brings me back to my situation. My dad is good friends with the owner of the restaurant Backstreet BBQ and every now and then my dad and his buddies bring their guitars and put on a little show for the customers. I usually get to perform one or two songs with the so called "band" and I thoroughly enjoy performing for everyone. Hey, I need as much practice as I can't get if I want to make it big time. Tonight was no different, except that my dad and his friends were throwing a surprise party for one of their fellow friends.
Now that I had psyched myself up, I was ready. I was actually really excited to get up there and sing in front of the crowd and I bounced in my seat with anticipation. As my dad and his friends were finishing up the song Mustang Sally, the door to the restaurant opened, along with a cool gust of wind. Alright, so the door was on the other side of the restaurant and I didn't feel any cool gust of wind, but that would have been the perfect set up for the event that followed.
As I was waiting for the "band" to finish the song, a very handsome man walked by with two girls trailing behind him, and all three sat down at a table opposite from mine. Staring at the man, I saw that his features were that of a teenage boy and my guess was that he was around 16 to 17 years old. I focused my attention more on his face; short black hair that seemed to be slicked up with hair gel, hazel eyes that you could stare into what would seem like forever, beautiful shaped lips, and a very hard shaped jaw line. He was gorgeous. Not to mention the build of his body. You could definitely tell he worked out and maintained a good body weight.
I continued to stare at this boy with hopes that he wouldn't notice. Right as I was about to focus my attention back on the "band", his eyes met my curious ones. We stared at each other for a few seconds before his eyes looked me up and down once. And then he did the most ridiculous, rudest, meanest thing ever. He looked back straight into my eyes and gave me the most annoying smirk I had ever seen. Yes. He smirked. At me. It would have looked cute on this face too if he wouldn't have forced his mouth to go in deeper and deeper into the smirk at the look of my discomfort.
I was furious! Not only did this dude I barely even knew smirk at me, but he also gave me that look of "your-not-good-enough-for-me-so-why-even-look-at-me-like-that" look! I mean I wasn't even thinking of this guy like that in the first place! Well yes, he was super adorable and cute and had the most gorgeous eyes, but that was beside the point! By that one look, I could tell that he was a selfish, arrogant, obnoxious teenage boy, and I could not wait for this night to be over so I would never have to see him again!
If I only knew that I would be seeing him a lot more than I had planned on.
What did you think? You can tell me all about it in a review :) I can't wait to hear what you have to say, it will make my day! (hehehe, that rhymed!)
