(Two men stand as if embracing each other. One man pulls away, a knife in his hands. The other man staggers and falls. The first man catches him as he falls.)

CAIN: Abel! Abel, no! What have I done?

ABEL: (smiling sadly) You'll be better off now… Cain.

CAIN: No! Abel, I killed you!

ABEL: No. This was my choice. I'm going away now. To be with Him. Better that… then to do nothing… and leave the world like this.

CAIN: (holding back tears) Abel, it doesn't have to be this way! We can get help! Just hang on!

(ABEL places a hand over Cain's hand. He looks into his brother's eyes.)

ABEL: You can't… let Lucifer win. This… is your destiny. And mine… my destiny was (coughs) to die. I've known that since I was little boy.

(CAIN hangs his head)

CAIN: The Creator did this. To him, we're nothing but pawns. He'll pay dearly for taking my brother from me!

ABEL: No. Cain… I chose this. This was the only way… for you to take down Lucifer. You'll be… just fine. I know it. Tell Father… I said good-bye.

(ABEL coughs again)

ABEL: It was nice knowing you… brother. I'll see you again… someday. Until then…

CAIN: Abel!

(ABEL shudders and dies. CAIN closes his brother's eyes and places the body gently on the ground.)

CAIN: Goodbye, Abel. You'll be remembered as a hero. (He stands) I'm going to respect your dying wish. I don't care if it takes hundreds, no thousands of years. Lucifer is going to die by my hand. Even if I have to fight through every god, angel and spirit in the fundament, I will take the Purveyor of Sin to the grave.

(CAIN walks off-stage. Blackout)

A/N: A quick little thing I whipped up out of boredom. I wanted to test some stuff out, most notably my ability to write in play format.. May do more with it, but not for a while.
