A One Shot
The brunette sighed as the scalding hot water loosened her muscles. She was getting ready for her little sister, Halen's, birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's. She was sixteen, turning seventeen in a few months; her sister was turning two. She grabbed her shampoo squeezing the golden liquid onto her small hand and lathering it into her short hair.
She rinsed well, grabbed her body wash, and lathered the thick violet liquid onto her pale flesh. After rinsing her body, she shaved her legs and under arms well. The razor blade crisscrossed over the old scars on her thighs. She wasn't like that anymore—a cutter, bottling everything up. She had someone to talk to. That someone was her best guy-friend, Nicholas.
She stepped out of the hot shower into the chilled air of the bathroom. Shivering, she pulled her black lace panties up her legs and clasped her simple, white lace bra. After wrapping a fluffy white towel around her frame, she looked into the large mirror.
"We got some work to do, girl," she told herself, eyeballing her reflection and parting her drenched hair as she walked into her room.
After looking through her cluttered closet, she chose her Aeropostale destructed dark wash flare jeans, a black solid lace cami underneath a white Aero NYC graphic short-sleeved henley, and her gray new balances. She got dressed, walked back into the bathroom, and started to dry her hair after applying curling mousse into her locks. Her natural light brown, highlighted hair because curly dark brown with blond streaks. She applied her cover up onto the blemishes on her face and set it with her powder foundation. After grabbing light brown, golden eyeshadow and placing it upon her eyelids, she also lined her waterline and the line above her eyelashes with her coal black eyeliner. She thickened her lashes with mascara and applied blush to her cheeks, chin, forehead, and nose.
Grabbing her toothbrush and squeezing the minty substance onto the bristles, she brushed her pearly whites, sprayed her hair one more time, and adjusted her glasses.
Glancing at her phone, an EnV3, while plopping herself onto the couch, she noticed she had a message from none other than Nicholas.
hey cutie whatcha up too?

She pressed number 5 on her speed dial and listened to the ringing.
"Hello?" her dad's deep voice answered.
"Hey, I was wondering if Nicholas could come with me to the party since I won't know anybody there."
"What about Layla?"
"South Carolina with her mother."
"Okay, then yeah, he can. No making out, though." He chuckled.
"Dad! We're just friends."
"For now," he added playfully.
"Probably so, but I promise, Dad." She smiled.
"Bye." She hung up and opened her phone.

20 mins babe:)
She stood up from where she was sitting and looked into the mirror in the hall to apply a layer of lip gloss thin her lips. A knock on the front door sent her running. She opened it to the bright blue eyes that drove her off the wall.
"Excited much?" His voice sent her head reeling.
"Oh, really? Then why did you run to the door?"
She blushed."I did not run," she declared.
"Oh, yes, you did," he said softly with a smirk.
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't, but you'll never know for certain," she ended, winking at him.
"Oh, but I do." He chuckled.
"Darling, as much as I would love to continue this chat, I have to—"
He interrupted her by clearing his throat. " We have to—" he corrected.
"Fine! We have to get going to Jackson for my little sister's birthday party."
"Oh, yeah," he replied.
"Do you have a brain?" she teased.
"Yeah, but it turns to mush when I'm around you." He smiled at her blushing face before clutching her hand and starting to pull her toward his blue pick-up truck.
"Messy." She laughed.
"I'm busy, babe." He looked at her, catching her secret smile. She climbed into the truck, and her cami, which was underneath her shirt, accidentally came down, exposing more of her cleavage. His eyes automatically locked onto the sight of how much cleavage she was showing.
Her face turned red. "Oh, gosh." She began to awkwardly adjust her cami.
"Morgan, it's ok."
"Mmhm." She shook her head.
"Morgan, your shirt pulled down on its own. It's ok."
"It's whorish," she whimpered.
"Morgan, baby, you did not do it on purpose. Period." He tilted her chin up gently. "Now listen to me. You didn't mean to. I know you wouldn't do it on purpose."
She hugged him. "But still I'm sorry," she whispered.
"I know and it's all right." He started the truck. "Off to little Halen's birthday party." He winked at her.
He gripped her hand as she got out of the vehicle. "This is gonna be awkward. You know that, right?" she asked.
"Yeah, probably so," he answered.
"Floose!" her dad called out her old nickname as he walked toward the best friends. "Nicholas," he said simply.
"Hi, Mr. Smith," Nicholas replied awkwardly.
"Call me 'Chris'. 'Mr. Smith' makes me feel old, and you're like family—especially while you're dating my little girl."
"Dad, we are not dating."
"She's right, sir. We aren't together," he said softly, almost as if he were sad at the fact that they weren't together.
"For now. Floose does talk about you a lot."
"Dad!" She gave him a 'not here, not right now' look.
"Come on, Guys!" Felicia yelled as she balanced Halen on her hip. Nicholas's grip tightened on Morgan's hand and she squeezed back, earning a grin from him.
"Sissy!" Halen giggled, reaching out for her sixteen-year-old sister.
Morgan let go of Nicholas's hand and took her from Felicia. "You excited?" Morgan laughed as Halen clapped her hands, obviously excited.
"Pizza and Chuck E. Cheese's—of course she's excited," Felicia told her, acting like the sixteen-year-old had no sense at all.
Morgan refrained from rolling her eyes at her step-mother. The dark-haired male of her dreams brushed against her softly, letting her know he was there for her. "Come on—let's go in," Felicia said, motioning for them to enter the pizza place. ;;**
"I feel like I'm seven." Nicholas's blue eyes sparkled as he whispered into her ear.
"Yeah, join the club," Morgan replied as she slid into the booth.
"Sissy! Come play with me!" Halen squeaked as she ran towards her elder sister and Nicholas. He smiled as she got out of the booth.
"What?" she asked, looking at him.
"About? Her brown eyes met his blue.
"This. Us. Being around kids."
"Because one of these days I'm gonna marry you, if you would want to."
Halen looked up at them, crystal blue eyes shining. "I thwought Daddy said yow cowldn't make owt."
"We aren't," Morgan told her.
"Wat is he? Fwend or boyfwend?" she asked innocently.
"Friend," Morgan said confidently.
"Boyfriend," he corrected.
"Friend." She looked at him weirdly.
"Boyfriend," he said simply.
"Friend," she said sternly.
"Boyfriend," he said, and she looked at him weirdly again. "Boyfriend," he said again before capturing her lips with his own. Her younger sister crinkled her nose in disgust. He rubbed his thumb again her cheek, and she broke their lips apart.
"Is that your way of asking me out?"
"Yeah. Did it work?" he asked her.
"Yeah," she smiled and turned ten shades of red.
"So are yow togewer?" Halen asked.
Nicholas smiled and pulled Morgan close to his chest. "Yes."
