Don't say that word.

That tiny, unimposing word -
it sounds so little
but means so much.

I'm not terribly uncommital;
I speak my thoughts
and try not to get caught up
in social expectations
with all their complications.

But that word - that word, I won't say.
At least, not today;
maybe tomorrow
or the day after that
or maybe right at the end.

But not today.

So don't say it
when you don't mean it -
and you don't mean it.
you can't mean it.

Because I can't mean it.
