Doesn't seem quite real yet

But in your eyes is clear regret

I'm so sorry it had to be you

--

You and I hold each other high

Convince each other that we can fly

So why'd you let yourself hit rock bottom?

--

My nightmares challenge every dream

And the need's enough to make me scream

Oh, temptation ruins everything

--

But I thought if you can wait so can I

And yet I breathe a another sigh

Because the fear's too much for me to just let go

--

Sister, I've been here before

I know the signs lead to that door

The one you walked through without a second glance

--

Oh, little eyes, they shine so bright

Your heartbeat comforts every night

This breath is for and because of you

--

And every time I hear your name

I know that things won't be the same

This mistake has cost you everything

--

Let me tell you this forgotten truth

Forget the young, the old, the youth

I'll be standing right beside you

--

I thought I had a fighting chance

Avoid the floor, don't do the dance

But now because of you I'm so unsure

--

I knew if you could wait so could I

But here I am sigh after sigh

How can I be sure anymore?

--

I see that same spark in you

But if you fell, must I fall too?

It terrifies me but it feels like truth

--

Oh, little eyes, they shine so bright

But they're a reminder every night

The mistake you made changed many lives

--

Sister, I'll be with you through it all

But I'm afraid I too will fall

Please forgive me prior to my sin
