Little Girl
Once there was a little girl
Who could never lie,
And every time her mother left
A part of her would die.
She lived with a man she called "Dad"
A hardened, broken soul
With an enigma of a past
And love never had.
Only wanted to be understood
In a world full of adults
Who laughed and joked at all the things
The little girl never could.
The little girl grew up to be
a woman warm and true
with the love of God to love her,
a love forever true.
