My dreams bleed into reality.
No thanks, just keep your sympathy.
I've given all it takes just so I can be
That much further from the truth.
Impossible to cross the line
Between this chaos in my mind
And the real world that I've left behind,
Nothing matters anymore.
So I'll banish all my false pretense
This nightmare never did make sense.
Such inadequate recompense
For the sacrifice I made.
I'll never miss the road I've lost
As I keep moving, whatever the cost.
With my breath held tight and fingers crossed
I'm resigned to my fate.
