Early evening, roughly around three o'clock. Macy Shay made an attempt to call her boyfriend of four years. Well, almost four. Planning a set date on when he would arrive for the much anticipated anniversary dinner. The anniversary dinner of their four year relationship.
A long six months had passed since they had planned it, so it was something extremely special.
Waiting patiently for her beloved to answer, after a few moments she gave up.
No answer
Which was quite odd, Zeek never missed a call.
Especially from her. Worry-stricken, Macy decided it was best to just go over.
"Are you going to see Zeek today?" Came her bustling brother's question. He adored Zeek. So any moment he could get, he was there with him.
"Yes." She replied simply.
"Can I come? Please, oh please, oh please?" He whined eagerly.
"No."
"Please, please, pleeeaaase?"
"No, no, no."
"Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaassse!"
"Fine! You can come!"
"I knew you would give in!" He boasted happily.
Shooting a glare his way she signaled for him to come.
"Come on you little runt. We're going."
Quickly leaving, Macy started her long fourteen-block walk. With the little pest beside her. Although she did have a car, she was not allowed to drive it often. Her father was rather strict. Setting down rules beyond compare for her and her brother. Even though she was 18 She still lived under her parent's roof. And if it was her father, it was his roof his rules.
Her father was afraid her car would be jacked. And if he believed that, it was almost useless to even have a car.
After heading out the door, her little brother quickly took off before her.
"Hey! You weren't supposed to leave me!" Ignoring his sister's call Austin kept on. Almost out of eyesight.
"Austin!" Giving up she decided to head on. Austin knew his way to Zeek's house, so it was hopeful he wouldn't get lost.
Barely reaching two blocks down the road, she began to see a figure off in the distance. Getting closer she realized it was her seven-year old brother.
"Austin, you know better than to leave me." She scolded. Walking up to her brother and bending down to his level. Noticing something out the ordinary with him. Looking to his face she realized he was crying.
"Austin?" He still kept on crying. Then turning his face towards her he muttered "Zeek"
Confused, she looked up over Austin to see her long time boyfriend lying in the road a couple feet from them. Covered in blood. His car not far off from him.
"He's dead, he's dead! Call the ambulance!" Her brother yelled frantically. Realization dawned on her as she whipped out her cell-phone to call the police, ambulance, fire department, anyone she could get a hold of. While trying to get a hold on her-self as she dialed the number(s).
………
Three long hours later, the police investigated the scene. Macy, awaited the horrific news they would soon deliver to her. She did not have to wait long, for she soon heard the dreaded 'knocks' on her door.
Coming to the door she hesitantly opened it. Facing the police officers. A set stone look on their faces. Looking at the two officers she anxiously waited for the news.
"Miss Shay, we have surprising news for you. Your boyfriend has been discovered to have died in a terrible car accident. Apparently he drove along the road before spotting a small kitten in a deserted vehicle. Stopping he got out of his car and got the feline. When putting the cat into his car an incoming car unseen by him came barreling through and hit him. We have choice to believe it was a hit and run. We actually have two things here for you that we came across when investigating his car." One of the men pulled out two small items, one which had an incredible shine to it, whilst the other just happened to be furry.
"Here," He handed the one with shine to her first. "I believe it's an engagement ring." Cuddling the significant thing to her. The other officer went on. "And this little thing," He gestured to the small kitten. "We found in the back seat." Handing the innocent being to her, she held it with remorse.
Her mother then appeared beside her. "Thank you officers." And closed the door.
Handing the little kitten to her brother, which happened to be present. She then started sobbing into her mother's shoulder.
A perfect day, ending with a dreadful night.

Wow, very short! Just so you know. This is 'not' a new story I'm working on. In fact it is a story which my 'sister' has worked on for quite a while now. She sort of day-dreamed it. Me, my mother and her do that A LOT lol It's a great way to make new stories, for me that is. But anyway, I convinced my sis to put her story on here because when she told me word for word about it I suddenly became completely fascinated by it. So here it is! We're kind of working on it together. Since she isn't much of a writer, she directs me on what to say. And I write it down. I just put a bit of spark to it. Like add things hehe ^_^. So, hope you enjoyed that tad bit, it gets a WHOLE lot more interesting!
