The Girl I Want

I'm starring at the sky, wondering what to do,
I need the know the best way to approach you Yeah I mean you, that cute girl from math.
The girl that always writes and thinks really fast.
You're the girl with the rose red cheeks,
the same girl that whispers when she speaks.
The one with the smile to light up the world,
my fallen angel without her wings unfurled.
The same girl that's the love of my life,
the one I some day see as my wife.
That girl that doesn't even glance my way,
I could just watch you write all day.
But yeah I know love really hurts,
but I'm still sick of couple telling me it could be worse.
I'm tired of adults saying I don't know love, don't know what to feel,
Well, I know the way you have my heart racing is real.
I've always been a music writer, now words to be found.
I've never written a poem until just now.
All because you got me started.
You don't even know that I'm writing at my desk so heavy hearted.
You're my inspiration, my special good luck charm.
The girl to make or break my heart, fix it or cause it harm.
Because you're like a perfect melody,
the most amazing love song to me.
I swear to be with you forever,
Just know we could make beautiful music together.
But I still know that love really hurts.
I'm just not sure it could get that much worse.
Today was the day I'd make my move and hold your hand,
But It seems you had another plan.
I saw you today, I got just one look,
At least before you ran off and dropped your poetry book...
