Chapter 8: Investigation

We started our investigation after the class. We went around the school and ask about the Witch rumor that spread around the school.

After few days of investigation, we rounded up our result of the investigation in the computer room which usually isolated.

"We investigated the Witch rumor for a few days but we did not find any new information other than what we heard from the classroom. No one even knows who started the rumor…" Allen sighed and laid on the sofa to take a break.

It's seems…I'm (Lauren) the only victim from the Witch… But why is only me? I tried rewinding myself back to that day that I turned into a boy, but I couldn't remember everything I did on that day. I only remembered helping Phoenix giving a document file to Vincent and I took a nap after that…

Gah…I feel like im missing something…Something I did that day… What was it again..?

"…Robin…? ...Are you there, Robin?" I lifted up my head when I heard Allen is calling for me. His face is so close that I could hear his breathing…

I turned away with my face blushed... Gosh…I never knew he had such cool emerald eyes!

"Yes Allen? Do you need something?"

"I just wanted to say, I will be going off if you don't need me anymore…I have things to settle tonight."

Oh, that's right… He told me this morning that he needs to settle "something" today…

"I guess there is nothing we can do now... Let's call a day off and go home early." Both of us headed home and call off a day.

But we didn't know…Another Witch incident happened again that night after we headed home.

"Good Morning Robin!" Charm and Lee waved their hands in the corner of the classroom as I walk into the classroom. Charm and Lee is my classmate, they always help me solve problems during the class. Moreover, they always know all sorts of things happened in the school.

I greeted them back and we started gossip. We talked almost anything related to the school, like Sports day, teachers and so are the Witch's rumors.

Charm smirk at me. "Robin, guess what? There is another girl bewitched last night."

BAM!

My nerves got tighter and my adrenaline went up and I slammed the table. "What?! When did this happened?!"

The classroom went quiet for few seconds before I found out that I was over-reacted. Charm and Lee got shocked from my reaction and try to make me keep cool before they continue about the Witch incident.

"Well, the girl is a year 1 student….Yesterday she was staying back after school for club practicing. When she pass by the music room, she heard some laughter from the inside…The Laughter was evil and the voice seems dry, she was curious who she was…and so she opened the door and … she disappeared."

"Disappeared? What do you mean by that? She can't be just disappeared without something left behind."

" I'm not too sure about it, but it seems there is only her school uniform left there… And that's all."

" Hm… I guess I have to check it out by myself…" I put myself into deep thinking. I believe the girl isn't 'disappeared', but had turned into a 'something', like me. The only clue I can find about the witch is to check out the music room and find the 'girl'.

Thought of something, I asked Charm. " That reminds me, how did you know this incident?"

"Well…Let's just say there is a 'secret agent' told me." He showed me a silly face and run away from the conversation. Lee come near me and whisper.

"Actually the rumors already spread around the whole school and you are the only one who doesn't know the incident." Lee rolled the eyes towards me.

…No wondered my mom always told me I am always "outdated"(means the person who gets the information last)).
