Trying to burrow backwards into a new—bright—beginning: looking into the past and dig, digging, dug up that time where everything was mudluscious and puddle-wonderful to find that footing—yes I'm falling—and wrap it tight around myself to (re)mind my heart of the many possibilities. Every black cloud has a (subtle) silver lining: just avoid getting struck by lightning.
Author's Note: Just trying something new here. The phrase "mudluscious and puddle-wonderful" is a reference to ee cumming's (one of my favorite poets) "in Just".
