Superion was going over the latest report from his spies in China, Australia, and France, when the door to the Throne Room burst opened and a small Demon ran through them, heading straight for Superion.

"What do you want, impling? You know it is forbidden to just barge in here unnannounced!" Superion roared at the small Demon. The Demon was panting and bowed to Superion. It started growling in the Demon's language.
Superion quickly forgot his anger and looked surprised. "Really, the Dr. is going to steal the buy? Well, this is interesting." He smiled and folded his hands. If I can take the boy from her after she gets away from Slinth, I could use his power sooner then I anticipated.

"Impling!" he yelled at the small Demon. "I want you to do everything you can to help this woman get the boy out of that damned facility. If you can't kill the boy, and Slinth if you can manage. You will be greatly rewarded."

The Demon imagined becoming a Forbidden, one of Superion's personal warriors. The Demon quickly nodded and turned around to run out the door, eager to accomplish it's task. Once it was gone, Superion leaned back and smiled. "This is going to be fun." He said, laughing that bellowing laugh of his.

Matthew stood on the patio of the hotel room he was staying in. He looked out over the town, seeing nothing special. He was taking a bus to the Capitol the next day, and he didn't know how to spend his free time.

"Well, I suppose I could see if they have any restaurants in town." he said to himself. He walked down to the lobby and asked the clerk if there was a restaurant in town. She gave him directions to the town's only restaurant, and he left.

He decided to walk there, and set off. He walked for twenty minutes before the restaurant, the Valley Cafe, came into view. He walked in and waited to be seated. He ordered his food and waited patiently.

The door to the restaurant opened, and two men in black suits walked in. They sat down a few tables away from him. He got his food and thanked the waiter, and started eating. But something about the two men bothered him.

He overheard a part of their conversation and dropped his fork. "... Slinth and that damned project of his..." Matthew quickly picked up his fork and resumed eating, to avoid rousing suspicion. Nobody noticed, so he focused on what the two men were saying.

"...I feel sorry for the poor boy. Slinth had no right to do that to him." The first man seemed annoyed. "I agree. If he wanted to ruin someone's life, he could've done the damn procedure on himself." the second man said.

The two men continued insulting Slinth for the rest of their meal. Once he realized he would get no more information, he stood up and paid his bill. Once outside, he hurried back to his hotel. Once there, he packed his bags and checked out. He made his way to the bus station.

He exchanged his ticket for the next day for a ticket that day. Matthew paid the exchange fee and sat down to wait for the bus. "Dammit, dammit, dammit!"he muttered to himself. Slinth obviously had something going on, and he intended to find out exactly what it was.

Subject D was dozing, when the door woke him up. He looked up and saw Dr. Rose standing there and smiled, but quickly dropped it when he saw the look on her face. What's wrong? He thought, but couldn't say it. He settled for a questioning look.

Dr. Rose walked forward and unlocked the chains, allowing him to stand up. "Hurry Subject D. We have to hurry." He gave her another look, but she ignored it and grabbed his arm, dragging him forward into the hall. They started walking quickly, going in a direction Subject D had never been before.

They walked for ten minutes without running into anyone when Dr. Rose stopped at a door and pulled it open, dragging Subject D in with her. Slamming the door behind her, she locked it and turned around.

They were in a room full of trucks, all loading crates onto them and preparing to leave. "Come on, Subject D." She pulled him forward and towards one of the trucks. She stopped at a truck with a door open.

"Listen, Subject D. You have to escape. Your life is in danger. You have to leave, and get as far away as possible, ok?" she asked him, looking at him with a concerned look on her face. He shook his head. I don't want to leave. He wasn't able to say this, but his face showed it.

She smiled and pushed him towards the truck. He tried to resist, but she was stronger than him. He fell into the trucks and stared back at Dr. Rose. "Goodbye. And Your name from here on will be Cruze, ok?" she told him.

He shook his head again, but she was already closing the door. "Goodbye, Cruze." She slammed the door shut just as the truck was leaving. She watched it leave the garage, and disappear. She heard the slam open and spun around.

Slinth was standing where the door used to be, soldiers behind him. He stepped into the room and looked around, trying to find Subject D.

"It's too late Slinth. He's gone." she told him with a smile on her face. Slinth's head snapped towards her. He pulled a gun and aimed it at her. She heard a bang, and looked down at her chest. There was a red spot on her shirt, right where her heart was. It grew fast.

She smiled and fell down. Goodbye, Cruze... Slinth walked forward to make sure she was dead, and looked around the room one more time. "Men, search the room!" he roared at the soldiers. After they had torn the room apart, they confirmed the boy was gone.

Slinth roared as loud as he could, and shot three of the soldiers. The others backed away. He stared at the body and dropped his gun. He walked out of the room. I will find the boy. I swear it!
