The lonely soul walked on and on

Singing, but nobody hearing his song.

Filled with grief, sorrows mounted upon,

He continued doing dreadful wrong

Alone he walked and walked afar;

His sadness, nobody to mar

Painful lies echoing in his heart

And horrible past tearing him apart

The night stared bemused

And the birds mocked, amused

But the man paid no heed,

Already overwhelmed by the done deed

Why me? He wondered aloud

'Twas in vain, his mind in a cloud

Muddled and puzzled in the head,

Dreading what next to dread

He still walked on and on

On nobody did his gaze fall upon

Destined to walk forever alone,

Nobody hearing his melancholy drone
