And as you turn your back on me

I drop down to my knees

And as you run away from life

With the intensity of sunlight

And as you turn the other way

The echo of the words I say

Don't walk away

Where does the evil in this corrupt world hide

Are you never afraid it's still alive?

Lurking in the corner of an old forgotten room

In the heart of a fetus, growing in a womb

It's not enough to be here you have to be there

It's not enough to pretend to care,

As you deteriorate under so many judging stares

As you abandon all your hope

You wonder how to cope

As the sadness keeps raining down

You turn your head around

The echo of the words I say

Don't walk away

Where does the evil in this corrupt world hide

Are you never afraid it's still alive?

Lurking in the corner of an old forgotten room

In the heart of a fetus, growing in a womb

It's not enough to be here you have to be there

It's not enough to pretend to care,

As you deteriorate under so many judging stares

Why do you turn away from me

In my heart I hold the answers

Don't you see?

Don't walk away from destiny

Where does the evil in this corrupt world hide

Are you never afraid it's still alive?

Lurking in the corner of an old forgotten room

In the heart of a fetus, growing in a womb

It's not enough to be here you have to be there

It's not enough to pretend to care,

As you deteriorate under so many judging stares
