Every single shape you take/ And every skin you wear/ I love each of them the same/ Whether they be black or fair// For though thy forms may vary/ Thy core remains the same/ And it is this essence that I love/ Whatever be thy name// For a diamond is a diamond still/ Whether it be rooted in the ground/ Or whether it lay polished bright/ Adorning some king's crown// So I will wait for thee, my love/ Seeking thy touch in each summer breeze/ 'Till you at last return to me/ In whatever form you please//
