I wrote this after considering how important it is to be more accepting of other people.

"Opening,"
--
I have always been watching over you.
You're strong-willed and it seems that even though you're living
With your head up high and your future ahead of you
I'm secretly afraid that you'll fall into the abyss again
With no one to lift you up
--
More than everyone else, I've seen you cry silently and fight harder
The sparkling smile and eyes that drown in a battle on their own…
My heart does not bleed for you
We're tired of that now and the two of us can proudly admit the end.
--
For a while, I only saw the same world for many years
My eyes were replaced with newness of that world when I met you
I wasn't expecting anything like this to happen.
I didn't expect to extend anything beyond what was normal
But I kept watching you slowly and wondering about you.
--
I wonder if there will be a day where we'll meet again.
Will we both look at the same sky and smile?
Whenever you're about to fall into the chasm again,
I'll be there to catch you.
