Akatsuki no Kuruma

It's just another day

More screams await us at night…

Sometimes, just sometimes, I wish I could let go

If I could, then I'd be free to fly with the birds

I'd like that…

Kaiya stares at the orange, blue and pink hues painting the sky. The way all of the hues blend together is exquisite. She can't bear to tear her eyes away, except for that forsaken red. The screams still sound in her head, and they are as if she's hearing them for the first time. She knows she will never ever forget those sounds; especially because it is not yet over. It will never be over, and not just in her head either. The emptiness, inability to absolve, desolation and unreachable look in her eyes has never really left. Of all things, it's quite ironic that her namesake should mean forgiven. There was never a time in her memories when she didn't have such an expression in her eyes. She draws a single orange petal nearer to her heart, and a tear or two slips onto the drooping petal.

Everything will come, but then it must all return from whence it came…

Just like her eyes, she can't remember life without the flower or its remnants. Perhaps it was time for her precious flower remnant to return too, but she can't bear to part with it. It has been so long, that she will be losing a part of herself along with it. Although, the grave before her is just as deserving. The roughly carved letters are hardly visible, or readable, but someone had paid their respect by trying their hardest. Carving the grave marker would never have been something she could ever attempt. The flower is the only way, and she has to leave something of herself behind for that precious person. She cradles it ever closer to her heart, and her tears flow swifter. There is simply no other choice any longer. The decision has been made, and minds cannot be easily swayed. Nor can the spirits.

My soul so swiftly, gently carried, shall rest forever here…

Author's Note: Hello everyone, I'm thinking about getting this story published as a book. What do you think? Should I post the actual story here first in full because you can't decide? Please review and let me know. I will be forever grateful.

This story is based on a FictionJunctionYUUKA song used in a Gundam series. The version uploaded by Gulhipe on YouTube is of a good quality.
