HASS Chapter III: Classes Part II

Part I: Morning Schedule

January 21st

0630

At New Start Academy the morning bell rings for the students to wake up for classes. The setup for NSA is much different than it is for Hayashi Academy. There are more than a dozen classes available and students are allowed to pick the classes based on the number of allowed students. Classes can range from Dark Magic to Skill Sharpening classes. Inside a private simulation room Kaitsu tests the scope of his new powers by pushing himself to the hardest setting of the simulation. Enemies come from high and low attacking him causing him to dodge around and reposition his bow for the best shots possible. He gathers energy in his bow and fires different colored magic arrows at once, similar to Haylee's arcane powers, destroying any target that challenged him. He spends about half an hour testing his power, before almost collapsing in the room. He finds himself unable to move as a turret appears directly in front of him.

"Oh shi…" Kaitsu says breathing heavily.

A silver arrow shoots in front of Kaitsu and reflects the bullets back to the turret. Kaitsu looks back and smiles, then puts his bow away.

"You're hopeless… you aren't supposed to go that high of a level without a team idiot." Haylee says walking towards him.

"You sound worried, is there something you want to tell me?" Kaitsu asks jokingly.

Haylee blushes and then turns away.

"I wasn't worried… I just wanted to see your mastery level of the powers I have." Haylee explains.

"Sure… tell you what… go get me some tea and a sandwich and I'll make you my woman." Kaitsu says standing confidently and placing his right thumb to his chest.

Kaitsu is soon hit with a brown earth arrow knocking him out cold.

"Idiot…" Haylee says dragging him out the room by his foot.

Meanwhile, Ako and Jasmine both hear the bell waking up.

"Morning Jazz-chan!" Ako says yawning.

"Morning to you as well!" Jasmine says.

"Let's go grab some breakfast… I'm so hungry." Ako says standing up.

"That act never gets old Ako-chan!" Jasmine says giggling.

The two girls get dressed and head down to the cafeteria, waiting in line. Ako looks over to see Mecha standing in a corner smoking a cigarette with Arietta scolding him, holding out a piece of paper.

"Speaking of same act… Mecha-kun seems to always be in trouble." Ako says.

"He does that on purpose to get close to Arietta-senpai." Jasmine explains.

"Hmph… what does he see in her?" Ako says crossing her arms and pouting.

"I'm not going to tell you again Braulio… no smoking on the campus." Arietta scolds.

"I tell you what blue, let me take you out on a date and I'll give up smoking for good." Mecha responds.

"Sorry I don't date scum…" Arietta says forcefully grabbing his cigarette and putting it out.

Arietta walks away and Mecha shrugs. Mecha watches as Arietta meets up with Joseph, who seemingly ignores her to walk to the breakfast line. Most of the girls in the cafeteria have their eyes fixed on him and Arietta glares at the girls. Joseph walks passed Mecha and Mecha frowns as he passes by. Maako stumbles and bumps into Joseph knocking him down to the ground. The entire Cafeteria goes silent and then roars out at Maako for knocking down the President.

"Oh sorry man… I was kinda in a rush to meet Tana-chan… she'll have my head if I don't." Maako says holding out his hand to Joseph.

Joseph stares at Maako's hand not saying a word. Maako blinks in confusion, and then Joseph stands up on his own power. Arietta grabs Maako by the shirt.

"You are in a world of hurt mister… you just attacked the school President!" Arietta scolds.

"Is that bad?" Maako asks.

Suddenly Maako is surrounded by the many supporters of Joseph. Mecha looks on the scene and smiles walking towards the group.

"Everyone return to what you were doing… this isn't that important of a matter… it was a mistake." Joseph says addressing the crowd.

Arietta growls but then calms down.

"Just watch yourself… you are lucky you're new around here!" Arietta yells pushing him away.

The crowd dissolves leaving Arietta, Joseph, Mecha, and Maako standing in a circle. Joseph wipes the dirt off his shirt and pants and walks off silently with Arietta following. Maako scratches his head and Mecha places his hand on his shoulder surprising Maako a bit.

"That was quite the scene newbie…" Mecha says in a joking tone.

"So is being the president of the school really that important?" Maako asks confused.

"Yeah it's a big deal around here… he's too popular for his own good. By the way I'm Mecha!" Mecha explains extending his hand.

"Maako! Please to meet you." Maako says.

Mecha holds his own chin for a moment.

"Now I remember you… you're the guy with the hot chick. What is she your sister or something?" Mecha asks.

"Huh…my sister… no dude she's my girlfriend." Maako responds.

Mecha hangs his head low.

"Why do chicks go for these types of guys?" Mecha thinks.

"Anyway… I need to meet up with her so I'll be seeing you around I guess." Maako says walking off looking for Tana.

"GET AWAY FROM ME YOU FROG FREAK!" A girl yells loudly.

Sid is seen being pushed back by a water whip like attack and knock on the ground. A young woman with long deep blue hair wearing a kimono with wave like patterns on them stands with her hands pointed outward.

"Come on Diana…we're perfect for each other… you use water powers and I'm a frog." Sid says with his tongue out.

"And you are really gross…" Diana says sending another water whip attack to slap him in the face.

"Tsk… I'm never taking lessons from Donald again…" Sid says as Diana walks away.

"Hahaha, man messing with you losers never gets old!" Donald says laughing.

The bell rings and all the students go to their first class.

Energy Molding (1102)- Ms. Janina Evanswartz

The classroom slowly begins to fill as students make their way to their seats. For most it was just another day in class, but for Maako it was his first class for the semester. He walks in the room as the other students stare seeing their new classmate. Maako looks around and sees Ako sleeping in the seats in the back and finds an empty seat near her.

"Yo Ako-chan, looks like I'm in your class." Maako says shaking her.

Ako wakes up cross chopping Maako in the chest forcing him to cough up spit and lose his breath. She wakes and sees what she did.

"Oh I'm sorry Maako-kun… you surprised me!" Ako says.

"Note to self… don't surprise Shou's sister." Maako says taking a seat.

"Speaking of my big brother… have you noticed he's been acting kinda strange?" Ako asks.

"Hmm… no stranger than he usually acts. He's probably dealing with emotional stuff from leaving behind Arisa-chan." Maako explains.

The teacher walks in the door moments later. She is a very pale woman, standing about 5 foot six, wearing traditional polish clothing with a dark blue bowl like hair cut with very thin hair. She takes the front of the class as the other students stand and bow greeting her. Maako slowly does the same and takes a seat as the others do.

"Welcome back to class, I hope you enjoyed your break." Janina says very calm.

She stares down at Maako, and Maako looks up surprised.

"Please introduce yourself to the class, and show us a bit of your power." Janina says.

Maako nods and runs to the front of the class standing next to Janina.

"Sup everyone, I'm Maako Karsean! I'm here to challenge myself and beat up strong people." Maako says confidently.

Chatter begins to build up.

"What's with this guy?"

"Another idiot joins the ranks…"

"Yeah but he's kinda cute!"

Maako ignores the chatter and holds out his hand. His hand turns into fire and the class looks surprised, especially Janina.

"I'm a Fire Spiritualist… for as long as I can remember I've been able to transform my entire body into fire, and change the shape of the fire, even how hot my fire is." Maako says turning the fire into a flaming blade.

"What a show off…"

"That seems really useful!"

"Maako Karsean was it…" Janina says standing extremely close to Maako making him slightly uncomfortable as he turns his hand back to normal.

Maako nods and Janina holds out her own hand confusing Maako. Her hand turns into solid ice giving off a frosty mist; she changes the shape of her ice as well into a shield. Maako's eyes widen being impressed.

"Cool you're an element spiritualist as well!" Maako says excited.

"You are much braver than I am… have you powers not caused you misery… as you try to embrace those you loved have you ever accidently hurt them?" Janina asks.

"Well, I have accidently hurt a couple of people… but what's the point of looming in the past on stuff like that." Maako asks putting his hands behind his head.

"I understand… alright please have a seat. We have much work to cover today." Janina says.

Physical Education- Jonathan "JR" Ross

One by one students fall to the ground as a ball floats around the gym and a tall chocolate skinned colored man wearing a tank top and basketball shorts stands tall moving his fingers around and knocking students out with dodge balls.

"Come on students, you're losing…" JR says jokingly.

The only student left standing at the moment is Paul, who is busy cleaning his glasses and not paying any attention.

"Pay attention kid or you'll get hurt!" JR yells sending a dodge ball towards him at full speed.

The ball flies towards Paul, and he immediately holds out one hand catching the ball as it spins and stops in his hand. He puts back on his glasses and they glow bright.

"Analyzed… you can control items that have air by touching them and enchanting them. Weakness includes controlling multiple objects at once." Paul says.

Paul throws the ball back at JR.

"If I'm correct that means I win this silly game…" Paul says.

"That's an interesting ability you chose kid… but simply analyzing things is kind of lame alone." JR says throwing the ball at Paul trying to blind side him.

Paul holds out his hand and a shield appears blocking the ball and sending it back full force at JR who immediately dodges it.

"My powers automatically adapt to the other magic abilities." Paul says.

Magic Tuning (1225) - Lucriso Joplu

The teacher stands 6 feet tall, with greasy unkempt dark brown hair with a guitar on his back and his bangs covering his eyes. He has a constant smile on his face and wears a tight all black school uniform.

"My students, today you will take on famous solider from the past who are kept in our world only by the thirst for blood." Lucriso says.

Lucriso takes off his guitar and bites his finger, then begins to play his guitar as spirits gather and transform into demon like creatures staring at the students.

"Don't worry, he won't kill any of us… he may look like an evil bastard but he's actually a pretty nice guy." Taylor says to Tana.

"He wouldn't be able to kill me anyway… I don't need any warnings…" Tana says smiling.

Tana holds out her hands and fire begins to gather around her.

"I wish Maako was here to see this… it will be the first time using my enhanced powers. My new powers were inspired by none other than you." Tana thinks.

The fire forms into cannon like weapon and fires a solid attack. It's a bright attack covered in flames, sort of like a star, it smashes into some of the demons and instantly burns them to a crisp. Tana cackles seeing the power of her attack as the other students watch amazed. A dark wave of fire covers another half of the demons absorbing them into the fire and seemingly eating away at them instead of burning them. Tana looks over to see a young man with shoulder length black hair and blue eyes, wearing a white shirt, a red tie, and a blazer on top of it with suit pants and dress shoes. He looks over to Tana and smiles.

"Don't even think about it kid… for one I'm taken… and secondly I don't like Goths." Tana says.

"I'm afraid you have me confused with someone else… I'm not a goth, just a dark mage… and I happen to like this style. By the way, I'm Vlad Dolphland…" Vlad says bowing in respect talking in a cool tone.

"Eh, don't worry about him hitting on you… he has a man crush on the teacher." Taylor explains in a low tone.

"Harsh… I didn't even know you had the ability to joke." Vlad responds.

"It's not a joke…" Taylor says bluntly.

"Come on teacher… give me more of these demons! This is pretty fun." Tana yells.

"Sure thing young lady!" Lucriso says summoning a giant demon.

"Damn, Maako should have signed up for this class!" Tana says shaking her head and charging at the demon.

Combat Training-Adalhelm "The Tank" Maur

A man wearing a military uniform stands in front of the class. His uniform is decorated in many ribbons and badges.

"Today I will test how long you can survive in the heat of war… you will have bullets shot at you from all angles, land mines scattered everywhere… and I might even attack some of you. It will be marvelous and I will show you the hell my men faced in our moments of war." Adalhelm says although he continues talking about his past.

"Man what's up with this guy…" Arthur says sighing.

"You might want to maintain focus at all times kid." Braulio warns Arthur.

"Shut up, I can handle myself…" Arthur says pouting a bit.

The class starts and everyone scatters and runs around the field, some students step on land mines and others are shot down the turrets. Arthur runs around dodging all the obstacles prompting the Tank himself to fire his arm cannons at Arthur. Arthur is sent flying by the attack and lands directly in front of a torrent but Terissa breaks the turret with a kick.

"That was pathetic… you've got to watch all sides of the battlefield noob." She scolds.

"Bah! I could have taken care of myself." Arthur yells standing up.

The two students begin bickering. The Tank fires his cannon at the two distracted students. A light floats down and blocks the attack as the light fades a young man stands holding his sword in the fencing guard position. He has flowing whitish blond hair, wearing a royal blue hair band, with light armor on.

"Alright you alright Ms. Terissa?" The Man asks.

"D-don't patronize me Hikaru… I didn't need your help!" Terissa says blushing.

Hikaru smiles and flips his hair letting it flow in the wind.

"I could not sit back and let a beautiful young lady get hurt." Hikaru says.

Arthur stands up and holds his hand out. A blue like blue print forms into his hand, two arrows are on the side of the blueprint. Arthur moves his hand to side pressing the arrow, and the blue print changes into a blueprint of a sniper rifle. He moves his hand again and the sniper rifle changes into a bazooka and he grabs the blueprint as the gun appears.

"That's a pretty cool power you got there kid." Hikaru admits.

"Don't call me a kid…" Arthur says firing at The Tank.

The Tank laughs and tanks the attack.

Fashion- Verna Leanne

Ms. Leanne sits at the front of the class leading the class in threading discussions. Awkwardly, Shou sits in class seemingly in his normal form in the front of the class as he is the only guy in the class.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me…" Shou says in a low tone being forced to thread clothes.

"Sorry about that, but right now you are in my watch." Leanne explains.

"I didn't know there were boys interested in fashion, kyaa." Angel says touching Shou's face seductively.

"Such a handsome guy, with a soft side…me likes!" Hanieko says placing her hands on his chest.

"I will kill both of you in an instant…" Shou says.

"What's the matter? Have a girlfriend already?" Angel asks pouting.

Shou closes his eyes and holds his head.

"Arisa-chan…" He growls in a low tone.

"Angela…Hanieko, go back to your seats… leave Shou alone." Ms. Leanne says commanding.

The girls pout and sit down staring at Shou like hungry wolves. A girl with long white hair sitting a few seats away from him feels something rumble in her pocket. She pulls out a single black card with a picture of a demon on it that glows in a red aura. She holds it away from Shou and it stops glowing than she turns it back towards Shou and it begins glowing. Her expression remains lifeless and uncaring as the card continues to glow.

Part II: Block 2

The Bell rings for the end of the first classes of the day. Students make their way across the campus heading to their second class or break depending how they scheduled their time.

World Magic & History- Angelina Gould

The class takes place in a simulation room, in which the teacher, a short woman with round eyes the color of fine gold with silky scarlet hair, allows the students to simulate past events of the world. The notable students in this class are Paul, Jasmine, Billy, Arietta, and Joseph.

"Today my students I will be taking you to the year 1575, also known as the year of separation." Angelina instructs.

Paul raises his hand and Angelina points to Paul.

"Are you referring to the war between the Dwarves, Humans, and Elves?" Paul asks.

"Fascinating, most students question the tales of the year of separation." Angelina says.

"Year of Separation?" Jasmine says confused.

"The Year of Separation refers to the treaty between Dwarves, Humans, and Elves who at the time lived together in the same countries. Because their ideals were different, the three beings fought wars against one another to change the land into a land of one solid ideal." Joseph explains.

Jasmine's eyes widen and she blushes seeing how intelligent Joseph was. Arietta glares at Jasmine noticing.

"Figures the school president knows about this subject!" Angelina says impressed.

Paul looks over to Joseph with a look of determination but Joseph continues to focus on the teacher.

"So which part of the year are we going to… early in the year during the War of the Shadow lands or late in the year during the actual separation?" Paul asks.

"Shade lands…" Joseph says in a corrective tone.

"What?" Paul responds.

"You said Shadow Lands, but what you meant were the Shade Lands." Joseph explains.

"I'm afraid you're wrong Mr. President, I've studied Dwarven history day in and day out and all of the text says the Shadow Lands." Paul responds with a smile on his face.

"I'm afraid you are wrong Mr. Watowski, but Mr. Reid is correct." Angelina instructs snapping her finger.

Paul's smile goes away as the room changes from a blank canvas into a simulated world the Shade lands. An Army of Elves march down the battlefield confronting an Army of Dwarves, with a sign that's clear that says the Shade Lands.

"First Month, Twenty First day, Year 1575… the first altercation between two of the three parties. The humans would remain absent till the Sixth month." Angelina explains.

Paul begins to shake being proven wrong by multiple sources. Arietta smiles seeing the clear frustration on Paul's face.

"It's alright newbie, we all can't be as bright as Joseph-sama." Arietta says.

Most of the class begins to laugh at Paul's embarrassing mistake but he simply pushes his glasses upward and ignores it.

"Hey Teach… can we go to a shoot out or something…this whole dwarf bologna is as tired as an Old horse trying to prove its use before we put him down." Billy says leaning in his seat chewing on a piece of straw.

"If you find this class boring why did you sign up for it?" Arietta asks.

"For the heck of it!" Billy says in a cool relaxed tone.

Arietta face palms and shakes her head.

Environmental Science- Bud Carver

This class also utilizes a simulation room, taking students to different areas of the world to experience environments to study. The teacher is a very energetic old balding man, wearing a suit and dress pants. He leads his class to a mountain covered in snow, allowing them to feel the effects of the cold weather. The Notable students in this class are Maako, Tana, Ashi, Emily, and Diana. The students have been given coats to wear and boots to travel along the snowy mountain. Tana and Maako are both freezing, and huddled together for warmth after exhausting their magic supply in their last classes.

"My first class was awesome, we fought a giant three headed dog thing and I blasted it with my new powers." Tana explains.

"Awesome, we spent most of our class power struggling with our partners… couldn't find someone strong enough to actually make me struggle though so I was paired with the teacher. And now I'm spent… I can hardly even turn a finger to fire." Maako responds.

"I've been meaning to ask you… in what way did you enhance your power?" Tana asks.

"Oh I didn't go through with it…" Maako says.

"Huh why not? I mean that was the whole point of coming here…" Tana says.

"I guess I've gotten so used to my original powers that I decided to stick with them." Maako explains.

"I still don't get it… if you weren't going to utilize that why did you decide to come?" Tana asks.

Maako and Tana both stop and Maako blushes normally, still unable to access his powers.

"Well I know this is going to sound corny but… I came here to be with you." Maako says.

Tana blushes.

"You came out here just to be with me?" Tana repeats.

"Yep, I didn't want you to be alone… and I knew you wanted to see this thing through." Maako says scratching his head.

Tana smiles and leans in to kiss Maako but as they share a kiss they begin to feel the mountain shake.

"What was that?" Tana says stepping back in surprise.

"The power of love?" Maako says dumbfounded.

"You're an idiot…" Tana says sighing.

Tana and Maako both look up to see snow rushing down towards them.

"AVALANCHE!" They both say holding one another.

"Shit this would be a piece of cake if we could use our magic…" Tana says.

The rest of the class had left the two behind but unknowingly. Bud looks back noticing the two gone.

"Yoooo… what happened to those two transfer students?" Bud asks.

"Oh, they stopped following us and started talking a while back!" Emily says flying around Bud.

"Why didn't you tell me Fairy girl! This mountain is dangerous…" Bud yells.

"They have magical abilities! I'm sure they are fine." Emily says being optimistic.

"Yes but what kind of magic abilities…" Diana asks.

"Hmm… I don't know…" Emily says flying around Diana.

Bud looks around.

"Huh where did Ashi go?" Bud asks.

"You aren't really good at keeping up with your students are you?" Diana says somewhat insultingly.

Bud rushes with the other students to retrace their steps. Maako and Tana attempt to run from the rushing snow about to collapse on top of them.

"This is a simulation right? We shouldn't be able to feel the snow crush us right?" Maako asks.

"You feel the snow slowing you down right? Do you really want to take a chance with the avalanche?" Tana asks.

The snow catches up with the two almost to the point of crushing them completely. Maako grabs Tana's arm and throws her forward so she can gain momentum. Tana looks back trying to grab Maako who is engulfed by the snow.

"MAAKO!" Tana yells in concern.

"Well at least she's safe!" Maako thinks closing his eyes and being covered by the snow.

A light appears in the white of the snow surrounding him and Maako begins to walk towards it.

"This light is so warm… is it guiding me to the afterlife?" Maako thinks.

Maako steps into the light and is free from the avalanche that seemingly disappeared altogether.

"So…wait did I die?" Maako asks looking around.

He sees Ashi standing in front of him with a tech looking sword in his hand and a tech suit on with a blank look on his face.

"WOAH God is some awesome Cyber ninja!" Maako yells pointing at Ashi.

Ashi sheathes his sword and points behind Maako. Maako looks back to see the snow split in half by a stream of fire and Tana resting safe on the opposite side of the area. Maako rushes over to Tana and hugs her with tears in his eyes.

"I couldn't safe you… the avalanche crushed you as well!" Maako cries.

Tana shakes her head and hits Maako in the head.

"Trust me… you're alive!" Tana yells.

"We are… but how…" Maako says grunting.

"That kid jumped down on the side of me and pulled out that sword, and did some hand signs like Star-chan does and cut through the entire avalanche with a fire like attack." Tana explains.

Maako's eyes widen being impressed, as he helps Tana stands and then runs over to Ashi.

"Oh! Thanks man, I owe you big time." Maako says extending his arm.

Ashi looks down at Maako's hand for a second but then looks up holds his left palm out then puts it down and walks passed him, prompting Maako to scratch his head confused as Tana joins him. Ashi turns back to the two and signals them to follow him back to the rest of the class.

Marksmanship- Crow Russul

This class took place outside in the firing range. The area was set up with many targets, some moving and others fixed. The Teacher, Crow Russul, is a buff man with light blue eyes and sandy brown hair, wearing a green sweat outfit with a bow fixed in his hand and a quiver full of arrows on his back. The Notable students in the class are Kaitsu, Arthur, Haylee, & Benjamin Gummer.

"Ello Mates, welcome back to another day in Marksmanship." Crow says with a thick aussie accent.

"Man this school is sweet…don't you wish we had this back at the academy Kaitsu." Arthur says.

"Dude…are you really talking to me?" Kaitsu asks in an annoyed tone.

Arthur steps back surprised.

"Well of course, why wouldn't I talk to you?" Arthur asks in a confused tone.

"Let me ask you something… did I talk to you at the academy…?" Kaitsu asks.

"Um… not really…" Arthur says.

"So why would I talk to a loser like you here?" Kaitsu responds.

"What!" Arthur says angrily grabbing Kaitsu's shirt.

Kaitsu easily pushes Arthur away but Haylee steps in between the two.

"Hey do you two really want to get suspended on your first day in class?" Haylee asks.

A blue colored light conjures in the immediate area and a black desert eagle with a red light scope points at Kaitsu. Kaitsu calmly stops bickering and looks at the one holding the gun. The boy wearing a tactical vest with jeans with a fedora and a scar on his face, his hands shake a bit as he points it back and forth towards Arthur and Kaitsu.

"Don't either of you make a move or I'll be forced to blow your heads off." The Young man warns.

"Just calm down, we have the situation under control." Haylee responds with her eyes closed and a gentle smile on her face.

He quickly points it at Haylee and she begins the sweat bullets while keeping the same expression.

"Don't fucking move… I'm not afraid to shoot women either." He says paranoid.

"Who is this clown?" Arthur asks with his hands up.

"I'm Benjamin Gummer, none of you seem like socialists so I'll spare you." Benjamin explains putting his gun away by waving it away.

"Sweet, your powers are kinda like my own… I'm Arthur Kin-"Arthur says before a knife is pulled to his neck by Benjamin.

"You do look like the communist type though… I don't waste my bullets on scum like you." Benjamin explains.

The teacher holds out his finger in the shape of a gun and smiles at Benjamin.

"Bang…" He says motioning his hand like a gun.

Benjamin flinches and stumbles backwards holding his shoulder.

"Calm down Benji, no one here is a communist, socialist, and any other list that you don't trust." Crow explains.

Kaitsu turns his eye to the teacher.

"So wait… why do you wear a bow and quiver if you can just fire from your finger tips?" Kaitsu asks.

"He doesn't fire anything from his tips… if you paid more attention all he did was change the air current around Benji's shoulder." Haylee explains turning to Kaitsu.

"Air current?" Kaitsu says confused.

"I'll give you a sample of my powers since you are new." Crow says pulling out his bow and an arrow.

The Man turns towards one of the far targets and aim for a second.

"There's now way you can hit that at this angle…you'd need a sniper rifle." Arthur says.

Crow smiles and fires the arrow; sure enough the arrow looks as if it won't reach its target being off by a mile. Crow nods and the arrow lift higher and begin to speed up hitting the target's bull eye.

"Amazing!" Arthur yells impressed.

"That's nothing…" Kaitsu says crossing his arms unimpressed.

"Alright, if everyone will take their own stations and work on exercises 12-15." Crow instructs.

"These teachers…are much different than at Hayashi Academy." Arthur says in a low tone.

"Sounds like you miss it…" Kaitsu says.

"Nah… not really." Arthur says smiling.

Part III: Angels and Devils at Play

Students head towards their third block, which could include Lunch for some but others may continue to take classes and take their lunch on Block four. Jasmine and Ako meet at their usual table accompanied with guest Tana and Maako. Jasmine eats standard lunch of Pizza and French fries. The other three eat five times her serving.

"I thought Ako-chan was the only one who ate like that…" Jasmine says sweatdropping.

"I need to regain my strength for next class." Maako says stuffing his face.

Tana doesn't say anything but chumps away at her plate. She notices that she runs out of fries and steals Maako's plate as Maako looks at her with a sad face.

"So how was your first day Maako-kun?" Ako asks.

"Hmm…" Maako says stopping.

Maako pauses for a second and smiles.

"It was okay, you have to work a lot harder here, but other than that the people here aren't as sociable." Maako admits.

Tana hits him across the head.

"Who cares if the people aren't sociable, that was the one thing that annoyed me at Hayashi Academy…especially Jett and Kairu…those two pissed me off the most." Tana yells.

"You gotta admit; they kept you entertained though." Maako says scratching his head.

Tana crosses her arms while remembering the times she smiled at the academy, and the first time they all met inside the girls' dorm during the Allie incident. Jasmine looks over to another table during Maako and Tana's conversation to see the Diana girl sitting by herself looking at her food and not eating.

"Excuse me… Diana!" Jasmine yells.

Diana looks back and smiles.

"Can I help you?" Diana says in a somewhat content tone.

"Are you waiting on someone or are you sitting alone?" Jasmine asks.

"Alone… I don't have anyone to wait for." Diana responds.

"You should come and sit with us!" Jasmine replies.

Diana nods and picks her tray up and sits with the group.

"Oh you are the two who got lost on the trail today!" Diana says recognizing Tana and Maako.

"All because of this idiot…" Tana says staring at Maako.

"Actually I believe you were the one who stopped me…" Maako says as Tana glares at him with an evil look. "But details aren't important…"

"I would never have thought Ashi would be the one to go out of his way to rescue someone." Diana adds.

"Ashi… you mean that quiet kid?" Ako asks.

"Yeah, he was an odd one… I tried to thank him and stuff but he just nods and goes about his own." Maako says scratching his chin.

"That's pretty much the way he's always been." Diana explains. "Umm…by the way, I don't think we've even formally met yet, I'm Diana."

"I'm Ako!" Ako yells excited.

"Jasmine!" Jasmine says.

"I'm Maako, and this is Tana-chan…" Maako says introducing Tana.

"Sup…" Tana says in a cold tone.

"Oh by the way Ako-chan, where's your brother?" Maako asks.

"I haven't seen him since yesterday…" Ako admits.

"That's weird… why is he avoiding his sister?" Maako asks.

"Hmm, what's his name, maybe he was in my first block." Diana asks.

"His name is Shou; he has a mixture of red and blue hair, with red and blue eyes." Ako explains.

Diana shakes her head.

"Haven't seen anyone like that, I'm afraid…" Diana says.

Ako looks a bit sad, suddenly Angel and Hanieko pop out at their table after eavesdropping.

"A boy with blue and red hair mmmm…" Angel says drooling as she leans on the table.

"He was in our first block class! Quite the looker too." Hanieko follows up.

"What's your first block class?" Ako asks.

"Fashion!" They both say.

Maako's face goes from a confused look to a face trying to suppress his laughter. He then decides to burst out in laughter as his head turns into fire blazing up as he laughs.

"Fashion! Shou is in fashion! No wonder he doesn't want to approach us!" Maako says.

Angel and Hanieko move over to Maako leaning their bodies over his shoulder placing their hands near the fire.

"What an interesting abilities, it's soooo cool." Haineko says.

"So warm and comforting kyaaa…" Angel says.

Tana grabs both of the girls by the shirts and lifts them in the air as they both struggle. Maako's face turns back to normal and he looks back to see the girls being handled.

"Leave Maako alone you sluts…" Tana says tossing them away.

The girls land gracefully and glare at Tana.

"Who are you calling sluts punk girl?" Hanieko asks.

"Trust me; you don't want to get in a fight with us." Angel says smiling.

Tana cracks her knuckles and holds her hands out as fire surrounds her hand.

"She uses fire too…" Diana thinks noticing Maako and Tana's power.

Angel and Hanieko smile and stand back to back, their side facing Tana. They both lift their hands up and point at her and Tana looks confused for a bit. Angel slides to the front and her nails begins to glow with light, with her index finger she draws a heart single in the air, and places her palm into it sending a heart shaped light attack at Tana but Tana manages to dodge. Hanieko quickly dashes behind Tana and places her hand on her back and Tana quickly fire kick Hanieko in the face knocking her away. Tana also feels the exact same attack hit her in the same spot and flinches with the same force falling the side as the others look on confused.

"Tana-chan!" Maako says concerned.

Tana stands up and wipes her cheek.

"What the hell was that…?" Tana asks.

A red line can be seen extending from Tana and Hanieko.

"Body link successful!" Haineko says smiling.

A light attack is fired towards Tana who was busy paying attention to Haineko but water wraps around Tana reflecting the light attack as Diana stands next to Tana now.

"You…" Tana says confused.

"Two vs. One isn't a fair fight, so I thought I would lend a hand." Diana says.

"Tsk… I don't need your help." Tana yells.

"Trust me, these two together is a dangerous combination. You have just been hit with Haineko's devil magic… body link. She connected your body with hers, so now you feel all the pain she's supposed to feel. Angel on the other hand uses angel infused light magic, which is Haineko's weakness, but since you are receiving her pain, you would only feel the effects of the magic." Diana explains.

Tana looks surprised as the Angel and Haineko come together.

"I hope you enjoy being squeezed as much as I do." Haineko says.

"Don't worry; this is only going to hurt a lot." Angel says.

Angel uses both her index fingers to make a large halo and spins it around Haineko. The halo retracts and begins to squeeze Haineko around the bust area. Haineko's face turns red and she begin moans playfully, Tana feels the effects of squeezing and grunts in pain. Diana rushes over to Angel and sends a whip shape of water at her but Angel quickly dodges and draws a star in the air and sends it at Diana but she blocks it with her water attack.

"Stop interfering!" Angel yells.

"Don't worry Angel; I can torture myself you know." Haineko says.

Haineko bites down hard on her lips making them bleed and Tana's lips feel the pain as Tana holds her mouth. Angel releases the halo and Haineko digs her nails into her own skin and scratches down causing Tana to feel the pain.

"That's far enough…" Joseph says standing in the middle of things.

Angel and Haineko both calm down releasing their attacks and Diana does as well but Tana still has fire in her hands.

"You're that guy who was with that one soapy bitch…" Tana says.

Tana calms down and turns around and Haineko and Angel surround Joseph who walks off as they follow him swooning. Diana sighs in relief and returns to the table with Tana.

"You okay Tana-chan?" Maako asks.

"Tsk… they caught me off guard. But now I know their powers, next time I'll avoid the devil chick." Tana replies with an annoyed look on her face.
