I forgot myself for five seconds today
and laughed.

My black cloud slipped from my clutch
and floated out of sight, away
from me and all my memories. A light shone through
and made me strong for a moment, freeing
me of my pillow-handcuffs. But I caught
up with that cloud, and things are back
as they should be.
