I'm trying to do my best
But there is not much time left
I don't want to see a calendar
No clocks in my room
Lay the hourglass on its side, please
You're excited, counting down the days
Cannot wait to leave
I want time to slow, but the day will come
Inevitable defeat
It wasn't much of a hello
Not much in between
And here comes the last goodbye
The truth is
I can imagine what it will be like without you
And it scares me
But you'll go on with your life
Fighting windmills, chasing rainbows
Running
Stumbling
Living
So throw your cap into the air
I'll tell you congrats
And let you know I always cared
You'll go on to party all night
Celebrate
I'll be here
Watching my heart break
