Fear
This is an ode to fear
The pain inside my heart
That made it ever harder this year
Made me feel dumb rather than smart
The very thing that held me
Kept me in its grasp
So cold and hard
As an iron clasp
The chains that fell from my hands
Bound me to this earth
Deep inside its painful lands
Like fire burning in a hearth
So ripped the pain inside my heart
Tearing me to the ground
But now I have a chance to restart
I'm living life with a new sound
No longer victim to tears and pain
No longer filled with strife
I am freed from the chain
That once bound my painful life
